Description:Description Icy Dock is proud to introduce the new 2.5" SATA 6GBit/s Quad Bay Backplane MB994SP-4SB-1, which fits into a single 13.30cm (5.25") bay. The MB994SP-4SB-1 is derived from our successful MB994SP-4S model and is based on the same concept - but only uses the SATA interface and has also received an on/off switch for the fans. In addition, only a 4-pin power connection is required. The MB994SP-4SB-1 allows more users to use this backplane at home - at a lower cost. The two rear 40mm fans in combination with the on/off switch allow maximum flexibility. When used with SSDs, you can turn off the fans, while using sat-based mechanical SATA hard drives, you can take advantage of the excellent cooling performance of the fans. In addition, this device uses Active Power Technology, which operates the fans only when drives are installed. The MB994SP-4SB-1
