The Monks were five US G.I.'s who formed in the mid-'60s. While actively stationed in Germany, as the Torquays, they were a standard beat group playing both PX and the notorious Hamburg clubs frequented by the Beatles and other Liverpool groups. Aftert. Retribution.2004.
Straightforward reissue of the album Black Monk Time with slight title adjustment and three bonus tracks. 8-page booklet contains original 1966 album liner text, a selection of reviews from major music media, and three archival photos. Recorded at Polydor Studios, Cologne, Germany "I Can't Get Over You" & "Cuckoo" recorded at Polydor Studios, Hamburg, Germany All songs published by Monktime Publishing (BMA) administered by Bug Music. Although a copyright credit is featured (attributing copyright to Burger/Clark/Day/Johnston/Shaw), the release includes no label information or standard legal copyright info.
