Description:(SACD-HYBRID) Global Percussion Network is a newly formed percussion group whose music is quite different compared to what you normally associate with percussion music. Their music is mainly based on the "melodic" percussion, Marimba and Vibraphone, and are at the same time very melodic and rhythmic, with a lot of free improvisation and with flavors of jazz. If you love the sound of percussion music then this is the album for you. All pieces are arranged in order to take the advantage of those possibilities that SACD multichannel (surround) offers. This new technique has also been a major source of inspiration for those pieces that have been chosen for this recording.
