Breakneck instrumentals and plaintive ballads delivered in two or three part harmonies are just as much the staple of any groups' repertoire and there are plenty of those on this set covering, joy to sadness, hope to despair and all else you may encounter on your journey from the cradle to the grave. This is a wonderful introduction to the haunting high lonesome sound of Bluegrass music. Warning: Bluegrass music may be infectious; tapping ones feet to the music is one of the early signs of contagion, the only known cure is to listen to more Bluegrass music.
