If this album got a proper promotion (videos, interviews etc.) it could've been bigger than "Ten". But Pearl Jam decided to step down at the time, they stopped making videos and doing the normal promotional stuff just to calm the craziness that surrounded the whole grunge movement and the most important, to save their band. Even with that, the album broke a record for selling almost 1 million coppies in a week. Pearl Jam was THAT huge in '93, "Versus" sold a lot more copies than "In Utero" for example. And the music. This raw production and sound they captured on "Vs." is so alive and kickin'. As on TEN, there is no a bad song on this album too, pure rock classic of the early 90s.
