Digitally remastered edition of this rare album from the Brazilian outfit. Os Brazoes self-titled album was originally released on RGE Discos in 1969. It is a psychedelic masterpiece that fuses samba, R&B and rock 'n' roll influences using fuzz guitars, synths, percussion, lush vocals and effects. Os Brazoes formed in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1960's. They backed Gal Costa during her Tropicalia period, yet apparently never recorded in the studio with her. OS BRAZOES features covers of Gilberto Gil's 'Pega a Voga, Cabeludo' and Jorge Ben and Toquinho's 'Carolina, Carol Bela'.
Packaging: standard cardboard digipak style cover, (printed black on reverse side, medium spine with text), shiny-glossy black plastic tray, no booklet or inserts. Round black cover hype sticker. Track times not printed on sleeve art, taken from: CD-Mac-iTunes. Total time: 35:44
"Os Brazoes" is a cult Brazilian psychedelic rock album by the band Os Brazoes, here presented as a high-quality CD edition. Recorded at the turn of the late 1960s/early 1970s, the album captures the explosive creativity of Brazil's tropical era, fusing fuzzy psychedelic guitars, powerful grooves and soulful vocals with deep Afro-Brazilian rhythms. The result is a raw, vibrant sound that bridges rock, samba, funk and regional folk influences, delivering songs that are both adventurous and irresistibly catchy. This CD offers a carefully produced reissue (based on Mr Bongo's renowned standards), allowing new listeners and collectors to discover one of the underground treasures of Brazilian music in clear, dynamic audio. Perfect for fans of psychedelic rock, Tropicalia, world-psych and crate-digging rarities, "Os Brazoes" brings the energy of late-60s Brazilian counterculture directly into your living room or hi-fi system.

As a band, Os Brazoes stand out for their bold mix of electric psychedelia and Brazilian roots. Active in the same fertile period that produced many of Brazil's most innovative recordings, they became cult favourites among collectors and DJs who value their heavy grooves, distorted guitars and experimental arrangements. Over the years, original pressings of "Os Brazoes" became highly sought after, helping cement the group's reputation as one of the key names in the Brazilian underground of that era. Their music has since been rediscovered by a new generation of listeners worldwide through reissues and DJ sets, and is often cited as essential listening for anyone exploring Brazilian psych and groove-driven rock.
