Description:Wobbler is Norwayâ??s leading Symphonic Prog band, formed in Hønefoss in 1999, heavily influenced by the classic prog of Gentle Giant, Yes, King Crimson, Genesis and so on. Featuring members of Tusmørke, White Willow, The Chronicles of Father Robin and Jaga Jazzist, the band now releases their fourth album on which they cook an enigmatic, multi flavoured and adventurous brew in the olde black cauldron. Poignant and edgy guitar riffs, melancholic and harmonious verses, powerful crescendos, energetic spinet driven passages and the odd touch of Flamenco and Italian recitals. With huge amounts of Mellotron, Moog, Hammond, Chamberlin and other classic analog keyboards as well as Rickenbacker bass, searing guitar leads, tight 70s drums and Andreas Prestmo's soaring vocals, this a Prog fan's wet dream! -
"From Silence To Somewhere" is an atmospheric CD release by Norwegian progressive rock band Wobbler, presented here in a high-quality edition from the renowned distributor Plastic Head. Across long, carefully constructed compositions, the album blends vintage symphonic prog with a modern, dynamic sound: expect flowing Mellotron and organ passages, intricate guitar work, and a rhythm section that moves effortlessly between delicate, pastoral moments and powerful, dramatic climaxes. The tracks unfold like sonic journeys, with recurring themes, extended instrumental sections, and emotional crescendos that reward attentive listening and appeal to fans of classic 70s prog as well as contemporary progressive rock.

The CD edition offers a coherent, album-oriented listening experience, ideal for enjoying the music in its intended sequence and sound quality. Thoughtful arrangements, warm, organic production, and detailed musicianship make this release particularly attractive for collectors who value complete albums over single tracks. "From Silence To Somewhere" is well suited both for focused listening on a good stereo and for immersive night-time sessions on headphones, where its nuances and dynamic contrasts really come to life.

Wobbler are one of Norway's most respected progressive rock bands, known for their deep reverence for the golden age of prog and their ability to write fresh, engaging material rather than simple retro pastiche. Over the years they have built up a strong reputation in the international prog community for their long-form compositions, meticulous analog-leaning sound and high-level instrumental skills. Their albums are frequently cited in modern prog rankings and have helped establish the band as a major voice in the contemporary symphonic prog revival.

HYUNG RAE K. - 07/Jan/2022 5 of 5 Stars!
From Silence to Somewhere is Wobbler’s fourth studio album. It is their most polished effort yet. It sounds like it could have been recorded in 1971. There is a Hammond organ, a mellotron, flutes, guitar solos and a singer who sounds a bit like Jon Anderson and Peter Gabriel. Parts of the album sound like Yes, Gentle Giant, Jethro Tull, and ELP.
