The tenth studio album by the German hard rock band Scorpions, released in 1988. It peaked at No. 5 in the US and was certified platinum by the RIAA on June 20, 1988. It was the last Scorpions record to be produced by Dieter Dierks.

This is the tenth studio album of the band. It was initially released in 1988. This is the first album after "Love At First Sting" which was a big hit. It cannot maintain the success or consistency of the previous album. It is not a bad album. You have to understand it and the moment of the band. There is perhaps natural wear and tear after a long tour of hits and the result was not what fans expected. Featured tracks are "Don't Stop At The Top", "Rhythm Of Love" and "Believe In Love".

With Savage Amusement they ditched the harder edged sound and went more of a glossy radio friendly feel, very similar to the big production music of Bryan Adams, Waking Up The Neighbours & Def Leppard's Hysteria, but although it's a good album there was too much polish and not enough power in the groves.

A real deluxe three panel digipack (with luxurious booklet!) remastered edition (BMG, 2018) of impressive album (1988) from great German hard/melodic rock band. Maybe, not their best stuff but both rock anthems and ballads are excellent as usual.
