Description:Digitally remastered edition. Danger Money is the second and final studio album by the progressive rock supergroup U.K., featuring John Wetton, Eddie Jobson and Terry Bozzio. John Wetton rose to fame with bands Mogul Thrash, Family, King Crimson, Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry, Uriah Heep, and Wishbone Ash. Whilst Eddie Jobson has been a member of several progressive rock bands, including Curved Air, Roxy Music, UK, Jethro Tull and (very briefly) Yes. He was also part of Frank Zappa's band in 1976?77. And Terry Bozzio is best known for his work with Missing Persons and Frank Zappa. The album was released by E.G. Records / Polydor in March 1979. "The Only Thing She Needs", "Caesar's Palace Blues" and "Carrying No Cross" had been performed on tour throughout 1978 (and an early version of "Carrying No Cross" included what became the intro to the title track) by the band's original line-up with Bill Bruford and Allan Holdsworth. "Rendezvous 6:02" and "Nothing to Lose" were both released as singles.
Recorded and mixed at AIR Studios, London, England. November 1978 - January 1979. © 1979 E.G. Records ? 2019 Talking Elephant Records Comes in a 4-panel Digipak.
"Danger Money" is the second studio album by the progressive rock supergroup U.K., released in 1979. This CD edition, produced by Talking Elephant, showcases the band's sophisticated musicianship and innovative soundscapes that blend elements of rock, jazz fusion, and classical influences. The album features standout tracks such as "Rendezvous 6:02," "The Only Thing She Needs," and its dynamic title track "Danger Money." U.K., formed by renowned musicians Eddie Jobson (keyboards/violin), John Wetton (vocals/bass), and Terry Bozzio (drums), was celebrated for their technical prowess and complex compositions. Members had previously played with legendary acts like King Crimson, Roxy Music, Frank Zappa, and Yes. Though short-lived as a band, U.K.'s impact on progressive rock remains significant. Talking Elephant is a respected British label known for reissuing classic albums from folk-rock to prog legends. Their dedication to high-quality remasters has made them a favorite among collectors seeking timeless music presented with care.
