| | Description: | Bashar Barakah Jackson aka.
- .. STARS, AIM FOR THE MOON5000 units produced for Record Store Day Black Friday 2020. As there is a European variant of this, it is unknown whether 5000 is how many of this US issue was produced, or both of them combined.
Track 1-3: Under the credit "Mixing Assistant", it is not stated but it is more than likely that they were the mixing assistant's for Lil Baby's vocals.
Track 1-14: There is a printing error in that that studio where Todd Cooper did additional mixing is "Studios, Los Angeles, CA". As Todd Cooper does not appear to mix at one studio, until further research is done, the location cannot be ascertained and the credit can't be included here.
Track 1-19: Although it says Jess Jackson mastered the entire album on the last page of the booklet, it says this track was mastered at "Chris Athens Mastering", which means Chris Athens actually mastered this track; therefore, Chris Athens is the uncredited mastering engineer & a credit is not given for Jess Jackson. / Written as "Dior" on the back of the front booklet, but "Dior (Bonus)" in the liner notes, to indicate it is a bonus track on the first disc. "Dior" is chosen for the track title above.
Tracks 2-1 - 2-15: The 2nd disc's liner notes say that Jess Jackson mixed the tracks for M.W.A Music (with the exception of Track 2-8), while it doesn't say this for the 1st disc. Additionally, Sean Skolfield is spelled right for the 2nd disc liner notes (with the exception of Track 2-8) while it is misspelled as "Sean Skofield" on the 1st disc liner notes.
Ryder Ripps is credited as having done the Art Direction as "Ryder Ripps, OKFocus LLC.".
Tracy Awino is credited as having done the portrait photograph of Pop Smoke in the booklet as "Tracy Awino, Bleacher Report".
Discs Made in Mexico, then the discs are shipped to the US to be manufactured into the full release.Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon (Deluxe Edition) on CD presents the full impact of Pop Smoke's breakthrough studio album in an expanded form, capturing the energy, grit and melodic flair that turned him into one of the defining voices of modern hip-hop. Built on the deep, ominous bass and sliding rhythms of Brooklyn drill, the project blends aggressive street anthems with surprisingly melodic, radio-ready hooks, reflecting both Pop Smoke's raw charisma and his growing artistic range. The deluxe version adds extra tracks that extend the story and give fans a broader view of his musical universe, from dark club bangers to reflective, more emotional cuts, while maintaining a coherent mood and sound throughout. As a physical CD release, it's ideal for collectors who want a tangible edition of this era-defining record, with sequencing that flows like a cinematic journey from the opening tracks through to the haunting finale. Lyrically, the album oscillates between triumphant flexing, life-on-the-edge storytelling and moments of vulnerability, underpinned by bold production that fuses UK and New York drill influences with contemporary rap and R&B sensibilities.
Pop Smoke, born Bashar Barakah Jackson, emerged from Brooklyn to become a leading figure of the drill movement in an astonishingly short time. His gravelly voice, instantly recognizable ad-libs and commanding presence turned early singles and mixtapes into street classics and viral hits, paving the way for mainstream success. With tracks like "Welcome to the Party" and "Dior," he quickly transcended the underground, collaborating with major artists and drawing global attention to the Brooklyn drill scene. Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon, released posthumously, cemented his legacy, topping charts worldwide and proving that his talent stretched far beyond the constraints of any single subgenre. The album's impact, both commercially and culturally, solidified Pop Smoke's status as one of the most influential new voices of his generation, whose potential was only beginning to unfold.
The CD is released under Republic, a major label known for its diverse and successful roster across pop, hip-hop, R&B and alternative music. Republic has become synonymous with shaping mainstream sounds while giving artists the space to develop distinct identities, often playing a crucial role in turning rising talents into global names. With a strong infrastructure for promotion, distribution and artist support, Republic consistently brings high-quality releases to a worldwide audience, and its involvement in this project underscores the album's importance and wide reach.
