 | | Description: | Expedition I is an album by Antrisch, released in 2022. The album is a Limited Edition, Deluxe Edition rock CD. - Debut Mini album by this atmospheric black metal band from Germany, formed in 2020. Special deluxe packaging: triple gatefold 7" format (18 cm x 18 cm). Black Metal acts from Germany are always showing some creative approaches even after the coming of the Second Wave. And ANTRISCH shows how they can make things interesting on their first release, "Expedition I - Dissonanzgrat". They're into an Atmospheric Black Metal form, so they can combine the natural aggressiveness of Black Metal with carefully ambiences carefully worked (and expressed by the guitars, not by keyboards, as it's usually done on the genre, besides some parts of them can be heard). Their music sounds aggressive and full of energy in some moments, on other is grandiose and on some parts is introspective and dense, but it sounds really great in every moment, make things interesting on the entire album. And be prepared to be caught in the maelstrom of melancholic/atmospheric chaos that they unleash. The production worked in a form that is usual to German Black Metal bands: it's a combination between the harsh approach of the genre (to make things sound morbid and crude) with a defined sonority. So the band's work sounds rough, but in a way that can be understood by everyone. Antrisch is really a fine revelation of the German Black Metal scene, but "Expedition I - Dissonanzgrat" shows that the quartet can climb to higher grounds in the future. Special deluxe packaging: triple gatefold 7? format (18 cm x 18 cm)
1.000 Limited Edition"Expedition I: Dissonanzgrat (Deluxe Edition)" on CD by Antrisch is an immersive extreme metal journey that explores barren mountain landscapes, frozen summits and psychological descents into solitude. Harsh, atmospheric guitar work, dynamic tempo changes and a raw yet detailed production create a cinematic listening experience that moves between black metal ferocity and melancholic, reflective passages. The Deluxe Edition is aimed at collectors and passionate listeners, offering an expanded, carefully curated presentation of the album on physical format, ideal for those who want to experience the record as a complete narrative from the first to the last track. Lyrically and atmospherically, the album circles around themes of isolation, nature's unforgiving forces and the inner dissonance that arises when humans confront the extremes of the natural world. This makes "Expedition I: Dissonanzgrat (Deluxe Edition)" a cohesive concept work that invites repeated, concentrated listening.
Antrisch is a metal band that channels cold, rugged atmospheres and a sense of exploration into their sound, combining intensity with mood-driven arrangements. Their music appeals to fans who appreciate both raw power and immersive, story-like songwriting. With "Expedition I: Dissonanzgrat" they sharpen their artistic profile as an act that is less about superficial heaviness and more about building a dense, evocative world in sound, firmly positioning themselves in the sphere of atmospheric and exploratory extreme metal.
The CD is released by Sevan Mater Records, a label that dedicates itself to carefully curated, artist-focused physical releases.
