| Description: | 20 years after their foundation and a whopping 15 years after their last studio album,
DRAGONSFIRE are back in impressive style. With their new album "Rebirth Of The Beast",
produced by Rolf Munkes (CREMATORY), the Hessian heavy metal institution proves that it
has lost none of its power, passion and class - on the contrary: DRAGONSFIRE are stronger
than ever. Founded in 2005, the band made a name for themselves in the metal
underground scene early on with the EP Burning For Metal and through joint appearances
with scene giants such as MYSTIC PROPHECY, CAGE and WIZARD. Their debut album
Visions of Fire was released in 2008 on Pure Steel Records - the starting signal for an
eventful band history full of highs and lows. Despite numerous line-up changes and serious
setbacks - including the tragic, unexpected death of singer and bassist Torsten "Thassilo"
Herbert - DRAGONSFIRE always remained fierce. Today, guitarist Matthias Bludau is the last
remaining founding member at the helm of a newly formed band that is ready to carry on
the legacy - loud, uncompromising and full of energy. Musically, the band remains true to
itself: no smoothly polished bombast, no overloaded walls of keyboards - instead, powerful,
honest power metal that deliberately goes against the current trend. Rebirth Of The Beast is
exactly what the title promises: the rebirth of an untamed beast that cannot be forced into
the mainstream.
