This version of Act 1 comes as a 1xCD. - 2007 reissue of the West Coast R&B outfit's eponymous album, released in 1973. Formed by Millie Jackson's producer/writer, Rafael Gerald, Act One achieved success on the U.S. R&B charts as well as scoring a few hits in the UK as well. In 2006, their single 'Friends Or Lovers' was sampled on Lloyd Banks' 'Born Alone, Die Alone' from the soundtrack of the 50 Cent film Get Rich Or Die Tryin'. Another single, 'Tom the Peeper' was one of the records in John Peel's box of his most treasured singles. 14 tracks. Southbound. |
