"No Stranger To Danger" on CD captures Laaz Rockit in their formative early phase, delivering raw, high-energy speed/thrash metal with a strong sense of melody and classic 1980s riff work. Across the album, sharp guitar attacks, driving rhythms and gritty, expressive vocals combine into songs that balance aggression with memorable hooks, making this disc appealing both to genre collectors and to fans discovering the band for the first time. The production preserves an authentic, unpolished edge that underlines the band's underground roots and gives the CD enduring replay value for listeners who appreciate old-school metal without modern studio gloss. Packaged in the convenient CD format, this edition is designed for long-term listening enjoyment, whether as part of a dedicated Laaz Rockit collection or as a key piece in any traditional metal library.

Laaz Rockit are one of the enduring names of the Bay Area-related US metal underground, known for a hybrid of speed, thrash and traditional heavy metal that emphasizes tight riffing and an up-front, streetwise vocal style. Over the years, they have built a solid reputation among connoisseurs of 1980s metal for their consistency, energetic songwriting and powerful live presence, earning a loyal international fan base even without the mainstream exposure that some peers received. Their catalogue is often cited by collectors as a benchmark for authentic, no-compromise metal of its era, and "No Stranger To Danger" stands as an important chapter in that legacy, capturing the band's characteristically intense but tuneful approach.

The CD is released by Massacre, a label firmly rooted in heavy and extreme music that has become a reliable address for fans of metal in its many forms. Known for supporting both established acts and promising underground bands, the company focuses on genre authenticity, careful curation and fan-oriented physical editions. With a long-standing commitment to guitar-driven sounds, Massacre's involvement signals that this release is aimed squarely at serious metal listeners who value artistic integrity and well-produced physical formats.

For collectors, this CD edition of "No Stranger To Danger" offers a focused snapshot of Laaz Rockit's identity: sharp songwriting, a strong sense of atmosphere and a distinctive voice in the metal landscape. Whether you are completing your Laaz Rockit discography, exploring classic-style metal beyond the big mainstream names, or simply looking for a powerful, riff-centric album to revisit again and again, this release provides a compelling and historically significant listening experience.

California group "Laaz rockit" was formed in 1982. The founders of the project were vocalist Michael Koons and guitarist Aaron Gellum, and finally completed the composition of Phil Kettner (guitar), Willie Lange (bass) and Victor Agnello (drums). The first two years of his career the team spent on performances in California clubs and recording one demo, "Prelude to death". In 1984, "Laaz rockit" found a contract with an independent firm "Target records" and debuted on it with the album "City's gonna burn". Made in a style close to power, the record was low in production quality and in the States it was not very successful. Hide / Show But it was noticed by the Germans and a little later re-released "City's gonna burn" for the European market. A similar story was repeated with the second disc, "No stranger to danger": disgusting sound, low sales in the US and European licensing. The difference was that this time "Laaz rockit" personally went overseas and in the spring of 1986 their concerts were pretty pleased with the local audience. The situation was spoiled by drummer Agnello, shortly before "Dynamo open air" who announced his retirement (he did not like the tendency to thrash the sound). The concert had to be canceled, and "Laaz rockit" started looking for a new drummer. After suffering some time without a drummer, the musicians still persuaded Victor to return to his place. In the autumn of 1986, the band recorded the album "Know your enemy", on which they closely approached thrash metal. The contract with "Target" was already lost by that time, so the team had to spend some time searching for another "roof". In the end, the team managed to attach its opus to "Enigma records", and by the end of 1987 "Know your enemy" was published. According to many critics, this release was recognized as the best in the discography "Laaz rockit". The group conducted a European-American tour in the company with "L.A. Guns" and "Exodus", and in 1988 still appeared on "Dynamo open air". Despite the successful state of affairs, after the tour announced his desire to leave Willie Lange. True, he still took part in recording the fourth album, but after the sessions he left immediately. His place was taken by John Torres, whose bass guitar was played on the disc "Nothing '$ $ acred". By the way, two new recruits participated in the recording of this album - guitarist Ken Savich and drummer Dave Chavarri. "Enigma" then had already failed, so the record went to "Roadracer". Despite the fact that "Nothing '$ $ acred" was quite powerful and qualitative, the situation in the team remained tense. After the departure of Torres and Savich, their seats were taken respectively by Scott Sergeant and Scott Dominguez. This configuration left behind only one live album, and that one was published only in Japan. In 1992, the sign "Laaz rockit" disappeared from the horizon, and four-fifths of the last convoy gathered for the next year under the name "Gack". After the release of one album, this project was disbanded
