Alexander S. - 04/Oct/2018 Not every group can afford to record a double album. And the matter is not even in the quality of the material itself (although this, of course, first of all). The point is also in the "format" of the group itself. With all due respect, I can’t imagine the double of Deep Purple, Doors, Uriah Heep, Slayer or Black Sabbath (live shows do not count). The very style of these gangs requires capacity and brevity. "Peppers" took a chance ... And by and large, lost. The biggest minus of "Stadium Arcadium" is that it is very large. 2 hours of music, 28 songs. Unnoticed by such a mammoth could not stay and get a bunch of Grammy. Must have been size scared.
From scale to content - in general, the disc turned out better than the gray one, "By the way". There are three 100% hits: "Dani California", "Snow" and "Tell me baby". The rest of the material ranges from good to basically good. Everything is weighty and solid - even the “slaughter” and “tearing away” became firm. The group has matured, which means it's time to disintegrate. Who needs old peppers? So, if the RHCPs decay, they will leave very worthily.
In general and in general, I advise everyone who is not indifferent to the "chilean" rock. All indifferent enough "One hot minute" and "Californication".
