Riot, also known as Riot V, is an American heavy metal band that was formed in 1975. The band has gone through several lineup changes over the years, with only guitarist Mark Reale being a constant member until his death in 2012. Riot's early albums, including "Rock City" and "Narita," displayed a combination of heavy metal and hard rock influences, often featuring fast-paced guitar riffs and soaring vocals. However, it was their 1981 release, "Fire Down Under," that cemented their place in heavy metal history. The album featured songs like "Swords and Tequila" and "Outlaw," which became fan favorites and helped establish Riot as a force to be reckoned with in the metal world. Throughout the 80s, Riot continued to release albums that showcased their heavy metal sound, including "Restless Breed" and "Thundersteel." They released "Unleash the Fire" in 2014 and "Armor of Light" in 2018, both of which showcase the same heavy metal sound and high-energy performances that Riot has become known for.
