Die amerikanische Crossover-Thrash-Metal-Band Suicidal Tendencies wurde 1980 von Sänger Mike Muir gegründet. Anknüpfend an den Erfolg ihres selbstbetitelten Debütalbums veröffentlichten sie Join The Army im Jahr 1987. Das Album ist wohl eines ihrer populärsten Werke und enthält die beliebten Titel "War Inside My Head", "Possessed To Skate" und "Join The Army". Es war das erste Album mit Rocky George an der Gitarre und R.J. Herrera am Schlagzeug und die letzte Aufnahme mit Louiche Mayorga am Bass.
