| Description: | Odds & Sods is the latest milestone in MCA's successful series of Who reissues in conjunction with the band and it's handpicked group of producers and compilers. This newly expanded edition of the 1974 classic rarities collection contains more than double the number of tracks than the original LP and is completely remixed and re-mastered. This release features 9 (!!!) previously unreleased recordings, plus the ultra-rare studio version of "Young Man Blues."The original 'Odds & Sods' album was compiled by John Entwistle and released on September 28, 1974 as Track Records 2406 116 in the UK, and on October 12, 1974 as MCA 2126 in the US. In the UK it reached #10 on the LP charts, and in the US it reached #15.
In the view of the large number of additional tracks on the re-issue of Odds & Sods, the sequence has been changed from the original in order to present the songs in chronological order.
Tracks 2 to 4, 6, 7, 12 to 14, and 19 are previously unreleased for this reissue.
Tracks 1, 8 to 10, 15 to 18, 20, 21, 23 were on the original [r=785789], all previously unreleased at the time it was issued.
Track 11 was previously released on the 1969 [l50693] sampler [r3319955].
Remainings tracks (5, 22) were previously released as singles' B-sides (1967 & 1973). |
